Membership

Fife Beekeepers welcomes new members irrespective of age, experience or background. We are a friendly and supportive society and aim to make the experience of all who keep bees in Fife as enjoyable and productive as possible. If you are considering joining, you are welcome to come along to a meeting before making your final decision.

Benefits of joining

Membership of the association provides access to the the following:

  • Practical demonstrations and events at our new teaching apiary on the Balcaskie estate in the East Neuk.
  • Through the winter, monthly talks on all aspects of beekeeping.
  • Access to expert advice from more experienced beekeepers.
  • Purchase of beekeeping supplies at discounted prices
  • Loan of books and equipment, including access to our honey extraction facility.
  • Social events
  • A regular newsletter keeping you up to date with news and events and also providing advice.
  • For beginners specifically, practical and theoretical tuition on our newly revamped beginners course. This will be followed by mentoring and on going support as you start keeping your own bees.

The annual membership fees are:

Individual: £15;
Each additional family member at the same address: £5;
